Sonnet Vale is a hunter and along with a team of other hunters she spends her life in search of Vampires and executing them. All of her life she has been plagued with powers that cause her much pain – that is until she found a way to use them.

Sonnet’s world gets turned upside down when secrets are told and deals are made. Deals that she has no idea may come back to haunt her.

A new client hires Sonnet to find his daughter who was taken during a vicious Vampire attack and Sonnet vows to find her- dead or alive. In order to do this she must trust a mysterious man named Bane who just so happens to be a Vampire- the very creature she spends her life hunting,

I really enjoyed this book and read it all in one sitting and couldn’t put it down.I found it to be a great paranormal read and am eager to see how the rest if this series unfolds. Sonnet is just the type of character who I love- She is spunky and kick ass and not the damsel in distress. I did take away a half a star for the instalove – one paragraph Sonnet doesn’t like Bane the next she’s giving herself to him in some random public spot. I wish the author had maybe added more substance to that scene. All in all I strongly suggest this book and will be reading the next installment!

Rating- 4.5 out of 5 cupcakes!
